Jennifer is a graduate of South Terrebonne High School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Nicholls State University. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in customer service, sales, finance, and insurance, building a strong foundation in helping clients achieve their financial and personal goals. Prior to entering the insurance industry, Jennifer served for several years as a Branch Manager in consumer lending, where she honed her leadership skills and commitment to exceptional customer care.
As a Personal Lines Executive/Producer, Jennifer is dedicated to helping individuals and families identify insurance solutions tailored to their unique needs. She takes pride in providing personalized guidance, clear communication, and outstanding service, ensuring her clients feel confident and protected in their coverage decisions.
In addition to her insurance expertise, Jennifer has been a commissioned Louisiana Notary Public since October 2024, offering an added level of convenience and service to the clients and community she serves.

James is a 2025 graduate of Terrebonne High School, where he developed a passion for teamwork, leadership, and dedication through the school band program. A musician since the fifth grade, James played trumpet through his freshman year before transitioning to baritone. As a senior, he served as the Baritone Section Leader, helping mentor younger musicians and lead his section to success.
As the Office Assistant and Receptionist at Southgate Insurance Agency, James brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service to every interaction. While he officially joined the agency during his senior year of high school, he has been immersed in the insurance industry since Southgate Insurance Agency opened its doors in 2016. Having grown up around the agency, he gained firsthand exposure to the industry and developed a deep appreciation for helping clients protect what matters most.
After graduating, James chose to begin his career with Southgate Insurance Agency full-time and is actively preparing for his insurance licensing exam. He is also focused on learning the latest technologies and innovations shaping the insurance industry, positioning himself to better serve clients and contribute to the agency's continued growth and success.
He is excited to continue building his knowledge and career in the insurance industry while providing exceptional support to both clients and the Southgate Insurance team.

Hollyn A. Use’ - Agency Owner

Hollyn is a proud 1996 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School, where she served as Color Guard Captain, played flute and piccolo in the band, and participated in choir.
Before entering the insurance industry, Hollyn built a strong analytical and business background through roles as a Data Analyst for Economic Development in Houston, Texas; a Finance Analyst for a Fortune 300 company in Denver, Colorado; and a Government Sector Data Analyst for a marine company in Lockport, Louisiana. Her passion for problem-solving, data analysis, and helping others ultimately led her to pursue a career in insurance in 2009.
After spending seven years in the commercial insurance industry, Hollyn founded Southgate Insurance Agency in 2016 with a vision of delivering exceptional service and trusted guidance to her clients.
Today, Hollyn is committed to providing a personalized insurance experience by combining her analytical expertise, industry knowledge, and dedication to client care. Her mission is simple: to serve each client with integrity, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping them protect what matters most.
